Privacy policy

Last updated May 28, 2026

This policy covers the Fated Pages website and iOS app from Borrowed Fire LLC. Fated Pages is a founder-led romantasy matchmaker, so this policy uses "I" for the product choices I make through Borrowed Fire LLC. I collect and process only the information needed to run the waitlist, provide private app accounts, restore app data, manage subscriptions, improve the product, and respond to support requests.

Website privacy

This website does not currently include third-party analytics scripts. Fated Pages does not use cookies or tracking pixels on this website. Fonts are self-hosted. Cloudflare and other infrastructure providers may process standard request information needed to deliver and secure the site.

Waitlist and email

If you join the Fated Pages waitlist, email support, or request launch updates, I use your email address to respond to that request and manage launch access. Waitlist submissions are stored in Cloudflare KV and include your email address, submission source, first and last submission timestamps, and submission count.

To operate and protect the waitlist form, Fated Pages stores limited anti-abuse request details separately from the waitlist entry when those details are available: submitted time, referrer, user agent, and Cloudflare country. Those short-lived records are automatically deleted after 30 days.

iOS app access

The Fated Pages iOS app uses Sign in with Apple for private account access and restore. After onboarding, app access requires Sign in with Apple and an active Fated Pages Plus subscription. Match, Browse, Shelf, Pulse, Me, recommendations, reader checks, feedback, warnings, shelves, and taste editing are inside that subscribed app shell.

If Apple provides an email address or Apple user identifier, Fated Pages may receive it for authentication. Supabase stores the private account record. The app stores the Supabase session in the iOS Keychain, which is governed by Apple's Keychain, iCloud Keychain, backup, and account recovery behavior.

Local app data and Apple backups

Fated Pages stores reader state on your device, including onboarding and taste choices, selected trope or preference markers, saved books, shelf state, reading and feedback signals, recommendation runs, app state, and cached subscription state.

Local app data may be included in encrypted device backups, iCloud backups, or device-account recovery systems depending on your iOS settings and backup configuration. That backup behavior is controlled by Apple and is separate from the Fated Pages Supabase backend.

Supabase sync

When you are signed in, Fated Pages may send reader-sync payloads to Supabase. Those payloads can include selected options, feedback events, recommendation-run context, reader signals, and catalog version. The current backend stores account/profile rows, book feedback events, calibration events you submit, and subscription entitlement records.

Fated Pages does not collect free-text reading prompts, private notes, public profile posts, direct messages, or public social content.

Analytics

The iOS app uses TelemetryDeck for product analytics. Events may include app usage, onboarding and paywall activity, plan selection, purchase or restore results, subscription-status updates, recommendation interactions, feedback actions, app locale, app language, product IDs, plan identifiers, selected markers, book slugs, catalog version, and a pseudonymous analytics identifier. Analytics are not used for advertising and are not used to track you across apps or websites.

Purchases

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Fated Pages receives subscription status needed to unlock paid app features and sync entitlement state. The app may send signed StoreKit transaction data to Supabase for entitlement sync. Payment card details, billing, cancellation, and refund requests are handled by Apple.

Book Finder links

Browse and book detail screens can open Apple Books or Amazon search pages outside the app. Fated Pages does not sell books in the app, does not provide an in-app reader, and does not use affiliate links or affiliate purchase attribution for those book-search links.

Service providers

Fated Pages uses Apple for sign-in, subscriptions, device storage, backups, and App Store services; Supabase for private account sync and app backend features; TelemetryDeck for privacy-focused product analytics; and Cloudflare for website hosting, security, and waitlist storage. I do not sell your personal information and do not use your data for cross-app tracking.

Retention and deletion

You can clear local app data from the Me tab settings screen in Fated Pages. You can also delete your Fated Pages account in the app; account deletion removes the Supabase account record and account-linked app data that I am not legally required to keep, then clears local app data from the device. Deleting your Fated Pages account does not cancel an Apple subscription; subscription billing is managed separately in your App Store account.

Waitlist email addresses are kept until they are no longer needed for launch access or until you request deletion. Support emails and other direct communications are kept as long as needed to handle the request and maintain business records. Limited anti-abuse request details for waitlist submissions are automatically deleted after 30 days. You can request deletion of waitlist entries, support emails, or other direct communications by contacting admin@borrowedfire.com.
